SCSItoolbox Version 5.3 Release Notes

SCSItoolbox new features:

1. Buffer size increased to 32MB
2. “Quick Commands” for disk & tape available by right-clicking on device
3. SAS specific MODE PAGE 0x19 displayed and interpreted
4. SAS specific LOG PAGE 0x18 displayed and interpreted
5. Disk Change Capacity command changed to use decimal number instead of hex
6. Display device serial numbers greater than 12 bytes long
7. Display SAS or WWN in disk double-click information
8. Send ‘A' to COM1: on error option – for triggering external devices
9. Allow looping High Speed Data Test
10. Allow looping Datapath Integrity Test
11. Allow editing Mode Pages from Disk double-click device info page
12. Allow Log Pages to be cleared from Display Log Page menu
13. Remove 1024 block limit in Disk Test menu tests
14. New start option allows starting directly into Disk or Tape Manufacturing Modules

SCSItoolbox bug fixes:

1. Fixed “Block Out Of Range” problem on Disk Test menu tests when using multiple LUNs
2. Fixed Format command to work with multiple LUNs
3. Fixed buffer load problem that would truncate loads from file
4. Fixed problem where only 32 SAS targets could be displayed
5. Fixed problem when defining Custom Fields in Options menu
6. Fixed problem with CDB Sequencer not allowing a CDB file name that starts with a number
7. Fixed CDB Sequencer to show total time when commands are repeated

Developer Toolbox new features:

1. Exposed pointer to data buffer in VC++ DTB
2. Added VB.NET support
3. Added a new function that enforces and/or reports errors in transfer length – under run/overrun errors
4. Buffer size increased to 32 MB
