Manufacturing Module (DMM) Additional Features & Tests

• Lower memory footprint (DTB now allocates the minimal amount of memory to perform the test)
• Support for drives that are > 2TB
• Support for specifying a user-defined timeout for commands for all tests
• New access method CPAM added
• Write/Read test now correct for drives > 2TB
• Save Log Page test Access database error fixed
• Save Log Page test fix bug which overflows certain large log page/parameter pairs
• Pre-Test action, P & G List test step, and test thresholds
• Work-around for certain SAS drives which should fail the 10-byte READ DEFECT DATA CDB when the defect list is over a certain size but in fact do not fail the command
• ATI (Adjacent Track Interference) Test updated to work correctly with SATA disk drives
• More detailed system information added to DMM log files
• Pre-Test Action PList and GList screening updated to accommodate drives with very large defect lists and drives which fail the 10-byte READ DEFECT CDB
• PList & GList test steps updated to accommodate drives with very large defect lists and drives which fail the 10-byte READ DEFECT CDB
• Advanced Options page now has a new area where you may enter the timeout  value for commands which will take a long time to complete - such as 15 hour format of 3T drives
• DMM has new more robust techniques to try to determine the number of defects even if the drive fails the READ DEFECT CDB

Manufacturing Module (DMM) Bug Fixes

• SATA SMART test issue fixed. Issue was raw data comparisons were only being done on the low-order byte of the 6-byte raw data field. Comparisons are now done on the entire 6-byte number.

SCSItoolbox Suite (STB) Additional Features & Tests

• Drive Temperature displayed on Device Information page
• Option to detect and lock boot drive at startup
• Original mode Disk-Commands-Defect, and double-click - work-around for certain SAS drives which should fail the 10-byte READ DEFECT DATA CDB when the defect list is over a certain size but in fact do not fail the command
• Mode Page Edit, Cache page - added Disable Read Ahead edit
• HBA name display improvement
• Display Defect Function can deal with drives with large amounts of defects
• Main Menu shows version, driver, and OS information

Install
